Yule Dogs Show 12-10-10 Mercury Lounge, NYC- PICS

Fun was had by all at last week’s Yule Dogs show.  If you missed it, never fear!  We are happy to provide you with the “safe for work” pictures of the event.  A big thank you goes out to our photographer, Felix Miranda.  Enjoy!

9:00 PM- Wormburner

Hitting the stage after Lifeguard Nights, Wormburner raced through a set of tracks from their debut, A Hero’s Welcome, and the recently released Placed by The Gideons – which happens to make an excellent addition to anyone’s stack of Christmas presents.  An absolute adrenaline rush from start to finish, these guys definitely kicked up the tempo.

Knockout Drops- 10 PM

Chris and Co. came out with their usual rock n’ roll flair.  Their lively set featured songs from their entire catalog – from early Burning Bush material to later Killed By The Lights and Bellevue tracks, not to mention Wax Off fave “Paging Hiawatha” – available on a 7 inch in our store!  Another memorable set by the Drops – we can’t get enough of Campion’s classic, inimitable spin technique.

Yule Dogs- 11 PM

For those still conscious by the time the Yule Dogs took the stage, they were rewarded with quite an event of the supergroup’s own Christmas tunes, classic Christmas sing-a-longs, and a sprinkling of between-song theatrics.  I think Chris is pointing at that couple that was too busy swallowing face and not paying attention to the show.

Hope you all had fun…see you next year!
